Kesari
Kesari:
Let me start the blog with a sweet as the first item - Kesari - everyone's favorite.
Time taken for preparation: 10 minutes
Time taken for cooking: 15 minutes
Ingredients:
Rava/Suji - 1 cup water - 2.5 cups
sugar - 1.5 cups
elachi - 3
cashew nuts - 10 pieces split to two
ghee - 3 tsp for frying suji + 3 tsp for frying cashew
food color - a pinch
sugar - 1.5 cups
elachi - 3
cashew nuts - 10 pieces split to two
ghee - 3 tsp for frying suji + 3 tsp for frying cashew
food color - a pinch
Method of Preparation:
(1) on a tava, pour 3tsp of ghee and fry rava - when the color slightly changes to golden, leave it on a plate to cool.
(2) in a vessel, pour water, put food color, smashed elachi and boil the mixture
(3) put rava in step(1) and stir constantly to avoid getting lumps... as the content gets thicker, pour sugar and stir... do this step in low flame...
(4) switch off stove, once kesari turns out to sufficient consistency.
(5) on a small frying pan pour 3tsp ghee and fry cashews. garnish kersari with the cashew fry.
(6) can add dry grapes or other raisins for garnishing as you like.

About Raja's Cuisine
One of my recent goal of staring a cookery blog has come true now. Let me see how it goes.
I am not an expert in cooking, but trying to be one. Have started just now.
I will be adding recipies of all that I cook or prepare for eating or drinking, from very simple ones to very complicated dishes. Starting the journey will all your wishes.
